Check the route and charging details

Use current road information and the charging provider's own service information where available. Confirm connector compatibility, access arrangements and how payment works. A charger shown on a map may be occupied, unavailable or inaccessible when you arrive. Keep enough flexibility in the route to reassess without pressure to continue into worsening conditions. Check whether a destination car park remains accessible outside normal opening hours.

Prepare for waiting safely
